Theoretical Profession Rework Design Talk - Part Assassin & Non-Profession Skills | Guild Wars 1
In my opinion, the biggest problem with Assassin is that its dagger attacks have cooldowns that aren't well coordinated and are also generally too long. There's more than that, of course!

I'm using the following approach for this rework discussion: Only considering PvE, dealing with the game as it is now (not considering different approaches to profession creation), trying to stay true to idea of the profession, no deleting/creating/renaming skills, stick with energy costs of 0/1/5/10/15/25. This is a theoretical design exercise; as such, why of changes is more important than specifics.
