THINGS GOT SAD | The Last Of Us Remastered Playthrough - Part 19
4Hey everybody! Welcome back to my The Last Of Us Remastered playthrough, I jump down from where I left off and we instantly get a cut scene where we reunite with Ellie and Henry. Unfortunately it isn't a good reunion as Ellie and Henry have several infected on their tail. We all make a run for it but eventually come to a blocked door. We boost the kids out a window where they try to get it open and while we wait we have a few waves of infected to fight off. Eventually the door gets open and we are free from the sewer. I scavenge the area we are in for supplies and find some decent stuff before moving on. Once we move on though we are shot at. There is a sniper up in the window and Joel makes it up to him to sneak up and take him out. Of course it isn't that easy as several hunters on the ground show up and I have to take them all out without getting sniped! It takes a few tries but I eventually reach the house and get inside. After a little struggle with the sniper Joel shows him who is boss and takes him out. While the rest start to move up a new wave of hunters appears and it is up to Joel to keep them at bay. I get pretty good with the sniper after the first try and take them all out. Of course things can't go easy for me as the Humvee shows up and starts shooting at them. The idiot driver opens the roof and starts throwing molotovs at them but with one well place shot he is taken care of and the Humvee crashes into a near by building and is now on fire. You would think that would be the end of it but not infected pour out of the house and start coming from all over. They jump on Henry and Sam but I take one out as Ellie shoots the other. I do what I can but there is eventually too many and we have to run. Once we make it to the safe zone we start having a little fun. Joel and Henry seem to be bonding pretty well and Ellie is getting in on the fun too but Sam is in the other room being salty for some reason even when Ellie give him the toy he wanted he still acts up. It doesn't take long for the game to reveal why he is acting that way and the cut scene that follows is just devastating. Everything was finally happy for a moment but it didn't take long before things got sad.
The Last of Us is a genre-defining experience blending survival and action elements to tell a character driven story about a population decimated by a modern plague. 20 years after a pandemic has radically changed known civilization, cities are abandoned and being reclaimed by nature, infected humans run wild and survivors are killing each other for food, weapons; whatever they can get their hands on. Joel, a violent survivor, is hired to smuggle a 14 year-old girl, Ellie, out of an oppressive military quarantine zone, but what starts as a small job soon transforms into a brutal journey across the U.S.
