This is NOT good - AMD CPU causing crashes and the fixes I've tried

Prawn here with a look at an issue I've been having with a new PC that I crafted recently (spec below). I successfully built the machine only to start stress testing and benchmarking and then I found that OCCT was causing the machine to crash, blue screen before it even started and fail to work. The temps were hot, but I was fairly sure that it wasn't overheating, as I'd managed to get through Cinebench runs just fine and I'd seen the CPU (Ryzen 7 7700X) get that hot in previous builds I'd done without a problem.

So what was the issue? BIOS updates maybe? It's a new motherboard (Asus Strix B580-A Gaming Wifi), but there have been 5 BIOS updates released by Asus since it launched, so maybe one of them was designed to improve system stability?

I ran that update and obviously made sure both Windows and other drivers were all upto date as well. But no, the system still Blue Screened during testing.

Ok, so maybe I bent the pins?

I checked it over and swapped to the Ryzen 9800x3D and everything then ran fine. Not ideal.

The idea of this video is basically to show you things to look out for with your build. It's worth testing and benchmarking because even a stable system might have issues when you punish it.
