The AMC stock is technically primed for a massive price movement, either upwards or downwards. The dark pool data is showing that net short exposure against AMC is around $28bn, it also shows decreasing short volume which suggests that the shorts are running out of power.
The SSR is set around $52.44 which is actually very high, meaning that the shorts can't push down the AMC stock price before enacting the SSR.
There are also a substantial amount of options expiring in the money and also a substantial amount about to enter the money, market makers will need to prepare for this and purchase AMC stock in advance in case a large number of people exercise all of their options.
All of this together is likely to cause the AMC stock to break upwards out of the current bullish flag.
