Thoughts on Assassin's Creed Origins! #shorts
I was a big fan of the Assassin's Creed series since the days of Assassin's Creed 2. Over the years though I lost interest in the series.
What drew me into Assassin's Creed Origins however was that it finally tells the origin story of the Assassins.
With that, we're introduced to the first assassin, Bayek. We follow along Bayek's journey to building the Assassin order and liberating Egypt from the Roman Empire.
At first, I was worried Bayek would be another stoic, serious protagonist. But he's actually charismatic, playful, and generally likable. He's more of a combination of Edward Kenway, Ezio Auditore, and Connor Kenway. @abzysalim certainly helped make Bayek one of the most beloved AC protagonists.
The combat was given a massive overhaul and I welcome the changes. The controls were more streamlined. Combat is finally challenging and you're forced to fight tactically.
The story did fall into the monotonous grind of assassinating targets. I get that's what assassins do, but unfortunately, the missions became too predictable.
Honestly, I would recommend Assassin's Creed Origins if you're curious to learn about the Assassin's beginnings and are fond of Egyptian history.
