I decided to talk about 1 and 2 because a lot of the things I said about 1 are my concerns or hopes going forward with 2

TLDR:

I think the damage type system was too complicated. I used Fallout Vegas as an example with the different ammo types. Then I mentioned they could of maybe done a toggable system in which you selected AP or HP from the inventory screen (example)

I get tired of seeing game after game where melee is not efficient or too difficult in the hard difficulties. I want to see a game where it makes sense to do that. I am not talking about melee geared games like Elden Ring but the ones where melee is an option (Fallout, Cyberpunk etc)

The Armor system is good in that there is light, medium, or heavy. I think all games should have this level of customization. Outer Worlds mistake was that the heavy armor came at too much of a negative. Perhaps they could expand on the armor system by adding a glove slot to work around the negatives (or something)

Weapon range isn't as easy to determine in Outer Worlds when compared to other games that have say the range to your target on your scope. That is another thing that I think can be done differently going in to 2

Expanding on the mod slots for weapons would be great as well. I would say add a muzzle slot to the current system so that you can have a suppressor with a fun times barrel (for example)

Overall I think Outer Worlds 1 is a good game despite these flaws. If the bundle goes on sale again for 25 USD or cheaper, I would recommend it for anyone that wants to get in to it and prepare for 2
