1:05 where things are & my recommendation, 3:36 why only 2 builds, 4:13 similarities in the build, 5:17 jewelry, 6:39 target resistances, 7:48 battle mage – why not sorcerer, 11:40 Battle mage – skills, 13:19 Star Pact, 15:17 weapons, 16:46 range option, 18:09 alternative to Scion, 18:43 acid resistance, 19:42 Crimson Lotus belt, 20:38 Really Great Pants, 21:38 Warlord, 23:18 skills, 24:27 items, 26:37 weapon options, 27:51 why Steward’s Halberd, 29:19 finishing up

With Grim Dawn being on sale, I decided to do a recording on it. I did some builds while I was bed ridden and very sick so I will include that here

Summary:

Grim Dawn isn't as easy as Diablo 2, or Titan Quest but, I can definately recommend this on sale if you are looking for that kind of game to play. The devs have certainly kept up with it by balancing the gameplay and updating the hardware/software. I did turn on Grim Dawn to find that it recognized my video card despite it being newer than when it was released

Builds:

Both are using the same jewelry and pants. Rings are the Judicator's Seal set. Amulet is the Shattered Realm Ward. Pants are Really Great Pants

Both are aimed for 572 cunning so that they can use the end game ranged weapons, and ranged weapons as they level. If they don't, the points are not wasted because it translates to offensive ability. That translates to your chance of hitting

2H Warlord Build

Item targets: Justicar Guard - Helm, Shoulders, and Gloves. Belt is Tinker's Ingenuity. Melee weapon is Gutsmasher. If you haven't gotten that yet, you can use the Steward's Halberd. This build doesn't work with range well but if you absolutely must use it late game, the highest damage I can find is with Adversary rifle

I would start with Oathkeeper for leveling. Then Soldier at 10

Battlemage Build:

This is more versatile than the above build but it isn't as straight forward due to it being a hybrid. I think this build is better than the Sorcerer builds I see because of its flexibility and better damage skills

https://www.grimtools.com/calc/qNYmpbJN

Item targets: Iskandra's Unification - Helm, Shoulders, and Chest. Belt is Crimson Lotus. Gloves is Cindertouch. Boots are Boots of Primordial Rage. Melee weapon is Scion of Arcane Force. If you haven't gotten that yet you can use Korvan Burnding Halberd. Range option is Ugdenbog Arcaneweaver

I would start with Arcanist then go to Soldier at level 10. This will ensure that you have AOE early

Devotion:

I think it will be easy to figure out what I did just by looking at the pages but if not feel free to ask in the comments. I was already 30 mins and wanting to hop off

Both are going for life steal and durability though. This ensures that unlike other builds, it doesn't need an item specific to life steal. I was trying to continue that versatility

Edit: After resting, I realized there was some complicated decisions in the Devotion. I will quickly point out the most complicated

For the 2H Warlord build, I completed the Toad for the green points. The build needs 5 of it for Kraken. Toad and Lotus combined is 6. The Toad alone wouldn't of been enough for Azrakaa. I could of completed Ulzaad's instead of going to Owl but with how few points I had left, I decided it was the best option. It is damage, damage reflect reduction and internal trauma increase. I guess I could of spent points elsewhere but eh. Not many options that I can see of that would be good

On the Battle Mage.. I recognized I could of gone blue crossroad in to Imp to connect to green but I tried that.. Going up to Korvaak using all the blue I had. Turns out doing it that way only resulted in 874 more max damage at the cost of 855 health, 3% physical resistance, and 10% crit damage. Knowing this is a melee focus I deemed the lost of damage to be fine

Toad was a similar decision as above. This time it was for purple to get to Tempest

After I got all the core Devotions, I decided to put my 2 remaining in Ulo for the Health, Energy and Life Leech Resistance
