Today marks three years since the wildly popular life simulation game "Animal Crossing: New Horizons" (ACNH) was launched worldwide. Due to COVID-19 related lockdowns being issued around the world, many used this game as a form of escapism throughout 2020 and 2021.

However, many COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted throughout 2022, and what people used to enjoy doing before the pandemic (i.e. travelling, eating out, etc) was available once again. On the other hand, Nintendo started to neglect the game throughout that same year, and no 2023 Celebratory Arch exists in the game.
