0:00 Wein's Story
Wein is somewhere in the Gorgath Mountains. This area has a loop mechanic, so going the wrong direction will put you into an old map. According to the guide, SW, E x3 are the correct directions. Just make sure to find the Rusty Lance before you venture out too far. Once you escape the looping area, you'll fall into another dungeon.
6:11 The Crag
Near where you land, you can find a Celestium Shard. All the people here are brainwashed into mining for ore, including Quathorn. They're all being controlled by these squid people, the Thule, and one of the Thule will attack you when you destroy one of their machines.
With one machine destroyed, you can go the the storeroom and buy stuff from the merchant. You can also get Quathorn back into the party, who will be helping for killing the Thules guarding the second machine. With that machine gone, a dwarf NPC will move out of the way and let you continue to another section, where you can free Furi from being used as a magic battery.
Before continuing to the west of the building where you freed Furi, get some anti-confuse and anti-sleep gear. It's impossible to defend against all status effects, but doing this will make the next boss a bit easier. Note that Wein already has passive resistance to confusion.
31:17 Boss: Observer
This boss doesn't hit very hard, but it's very annoying because it has multiple body parts and it auto-silences everyone when its eye is open. It and its eyes can also spam paralysis, confusion, sleep, and slow, locking down your party. And yes, it can also spam heal and barrier spells. I had to cut out portions of the fight because of how horribly I was locked down.
39:33 Central Link
The Thule HQ building has a lot of spikes, and stepping on them does enough damage to oneshot Furi. Like Firefly wrote in her guide, mouse controls will make things easier. Just in case, save very often so you don't have to waste revives and heals. The only good news is that there are no encounters here other than the boss.
45:56 Boss: Thule Overlord
The overlord will use even stronger mind control techniques on everyone. Wein starts seeing another person's memories. This Edgar fellow has a Scarab of Protection, which Wein somehow acquires.
For the first round, you need to take out your two brainwashed allies. In the second round, your allies will rejoin, but the boss will take more offensive action. Use Leviticus to slow the boss down and use Kraxus to bolster your defenses.
55:14 Freedom!
With the Thule Overlord dead, all the people are freed and we can escape. Quathorn also makes sure to destroy the facilities here. You'll then regain control of the historian to pick the next story path.
