0:00 SW Exit?
In the item shop, there's a Celestium Shard that you can only get at night because the owner will obstruct you otherwise. Also, there's a special encounter at night in the SW exit. Also, note that the Celestium Shard list in the guide lists 5 shards in Eldrethen, but there are actually only 4. One of the shards is actually from an earlier area.
1:20 Boss: Ser Alvar Vaughn
He has an instant death skill like the reapers. Also, he's weak to thunder and holy.
2:44 North Side of Eldrethen
Go to north to Eldrethen's more affluent district.
To advance the story, you have to read all the letters in the SW house. During the day, there's also a semi-important NPC in the SW house. There's a skeleton that you can find by walking around the perimeter of the SE house, which contains a key. Use the key on the basement hatch of the SE house to find a Rusty Sword and some zombies. Take the east exit of the district to find a wall of flesh and bones blocking the tower path.
12:24 Marin Ulden
Talk to the innkeeper, who turns out to be Marin Ulden, the only one who wasn't affected by Ledonel's time stop. He tells us of how the time stop spell that was supposed to save Eldrethen happened too late, and it instead trapped everyone in a state of undeath. He gives us the keys to the catacombs, allowing us to find an item that can open the path to the tower. Unfortunately, several waves of undead attack us.
24:11 Eldrethen Castle
Yes, there are roaming encounters here too. Unlike me, use Tumble to escape from them easily. Also, look for a Celestium Shard in the prison area. It's in the cell containing a roaming encounter.
28:53 Catacombs
Unlike the town, the catacombs only have random encounters, which means you can take your time in dialogue boxes again.
32:30 Boss: Angel of Decay
Equip anti-blind gear on your physical attackers. Also, make a lot of holy waters to deal with the doom status.
35:48 Carcaron Obtained
If you return to the inn, Marin warns you of something inside the tower. He may be referring to the bonus boss, since the story boss isn't that hard. Once you're ready, go to the tower, where the party will use the Carcaron to remove the wall of brambles.
38:47 Tower of Horror
You'll find that Ledonel has been corrupted into blaming Greyhem and company for abandoning Eldrethen, as well as Cael Vaeili for that dumb curse idea. On the second floor, ignore the left room because it contains a powerful but revisitable bonus boss.
46:15 Boss: Ledonel
He has the annoying ability to do MP damage, but physical attackers should be able to dominate him.
50:34 Splitting Up
Ledonel returns to his senses and allows us to take the keystone. Before doing so, make sure everyone is decently leveled, since touching the keystone will cause an explosion that blows everyone to different locations, resulting in three story paths and three different parties you have to use.
You'll take control of the Historian, who is at level 50, but his only job is to choose the next party to control.
