Tiflis (Gürcüce: თბილისი / Tbilisi), Gürcistan'ın başkenti ve en kalabalık ilidir. Tiflis Gürcistan'ın doğusunda, Tiflis Havzasında, Kura Nehri'nin iki yakasında kurulmuştur. Kuzeyinde Saguramo Dağları'nın güney yamacı, doğusunda İgris Zageni Dağı'nın kuzeybatı bölümü ve güneyinde Trialeti Dağları uzanmaktadır. Şehir 502 km²'lik bir alanı kaplar ve 1.152 milyondan fazla nüfusa sahiptir. MS 5. yüzyılda İberya Kralı Vahtang Gorgasali tarafından kurulan şehir, o zamandan beri çeşitli Gürcü krallıklarının ve cumhuriyetlerinin başkenti olarak hizmet etti.
Narikala (Gürcüce: ნარიყალა), Gürcistan'ın başkenti Tiflis'te yer alan tarihî kale. Sarp bir tepe üzerinde yer alan kalenin üst kısmında yakın zaman önce restore edilen St. Nicholas Kilisesi yer alır.
Kale, Shuris-tsikhe adı altında 4. yüzyılda kurulmuştur. Daha sonraları IV. David ve Emeviler tarafından genişletilmiştir. Moğol istilası sonrası "Narin Qala" (Küçük Kale) adını alan yapının bazı bölümleri 1827 yılında meydana gelen deprem sonucu yıkılmıştır.
Kartlis Deda (Gürcüce: ქართლის დედა; Kartli'nin Annesi), Gürcistan’ın başkenti Tiflis’te, kentin sembolü olan Kartli'i konu alan anıt.
Tiflis'in kuruluşunun 1500. yıldönümünde Gürcistan Sovyet Sosyalist Cumhuriyeti döneminde 1958 yılında Sololaki tepesine dikildi. Gürcü heykeltıraş Elguca Amaşukeli’nin yaptığı alüminyum heykel, yirmi metre yüksekliğinde, Gürcü ulusal giysileri içinde bir kadın figürüdür. Gürcü ulusal karakterinin en iyi sembolize ettiği kabul edilen heykelin bir elinde, dost olarak gelenlere şarap sunmak için büyük bir kâse, diğer elinde, düşman olarak gelenlere karşı kullanmak üzere bir kılıç bulunmaktadır.
Kaplumbağa Gölü ya da Kus Tba (Gürcüce: კუს ტბა); translit.: “k’us t’ba (Kaplumbağa Gölü), Gürcistan'ın başkenti Tiflis'in hemen dışında, Mtatsminda Tepesi’nin kuzey eteklerinde küçük göl. Şehrin kuzeybatısında yer alan göle Gürcüce Korkis Tba (ქორქის ტბა) da denir. Gölün adı, içinde çok sayıda kaplumbağa barındırmasından gelir. (Wikipedia)
Tbilisi (Georgian: თბილისი / Tbilisi) is the capital and most populous province of Georgia. Tbilisi was established in the east of Georgia, in the Tbilisi Basin, on both sides of the Kura River. The southern slope of the Saguramo Mountains lies to the north, the northwestern part of the Igris Zageni Mountain to the east, and the Trialeti Mountains to the south. The city covers an area of 502 km² and has a population of over 1.152 million. Narikala (Georgian: ნარიყალა) is a historical castle located in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia. Located on a steep hill, the recently restored St. Nicholas Church is located.
The castle was founded in the 4th century under the name Shuris-tsikhe. Later IV. It was expanded by David and the Umayyads. Some parts of the building, which was named "Narin Qala" (Small Castle) after the Mongol invasion, were destroyed as a result of the earthquake that occurred in 1827.
Kartlis Deda (Georgian: ქართლის დედა; Kartli's Mother) is a monument in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, about Kartli, the symbol of the city.
It was erected on the Sololaki hill in 1958, during the period of the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic, on the 1500th anniversary of the founding of Tbilisi. The aluminum sculpture made by Georgian sculptor Elguca Amaşukeli is a twenty-meter-high female figure in Georgian national dress. The statue, which is considered to best symbolize the Georgian national character, has a large bowl in one hand to offer wine to those who come as friends, and a sword in the other hand to use against those who come as enemies.
Turtle Lake or Kus Tba (Georgian: კუს ტბა); translit.: “k’us t’ba (Turtle Lake), small lake on the northern slopes of Mtatsminda Hill, just outside the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. Located in the northwest of the city, the lake is also called Korkis Tba (ქორქის ტბა) in Georgian. The name of the lake comes from the large number of turtles in it.
