Tiny Bobble (Amiga) - A Playguide and Review - by LemonAmiga.com
Tiny Bobble is a conversion of Bubble Bobble (1986), and was produced exclusively for the Amiga by Manfred Linzner in 2020. We played his game, at the same time as Tinyus, in the Super League competition starting Sunday Jul 25, 2021. This footage was from my best run.

I normally take care of the New Games threads on Lemon Amiga, and I noticed that the Tiny series was a step above many homebrew games in terms of quality and shine. I was not usually a fan of Bubble Bobble in the arcades, or on the Amiga, but playing this with autofire was fun and I enjoyed he round very much - eventually winning it.
I made 3 recordings of the game, with clips from the other two recordings seen at the start of this guide, and also the alternative levels. All of the recordings were done in one long take. Not much to add in terms of pop-ups etc. The music on the intro seems a bit too loud, and the narration can seem a bit quiet. Again, I deliberately TURNED DOWN all of the narration, after I had done all the audio balancing, so that my voice seemed softer and less shouty. So that full volume is slightly lower than the top of the youtube slider.
Note: Just as I type this, the T key on my original Amiga keyboard membrane has started to fail 80% of the time, so typing this with all the Ts in it is taking ages!

Arcade games are designed to be addictive so that players will be tempted to throw their money into them. This translates very well onto most conversions but this one stands out as a 95% perfect game. With all of the arcade upgrades available in this version, it would have been the Ultimate Amiga Bobble. But only Marble Madness managed to reach the heights of being 'Arcade Perfect' on the Amiga (apart from the Arcadia games, but they don't count). The more a player learns the levels, the easier it becomes, and with some luck and a bit of skill, I got much further in this version than any other version I have ever played. Having said that, not being able to jump up from the top to the bottom of levels is almost a game breaker on some of them! I give this 9 out of 10.
