A tiny, free rally game, created for LOWREZJAM 2020 (very low resolution games), featuring 5 cars (one of which is a hotdog!) and 3 locations (with 3 versions of each track). Play it in browser, or download it from https://cosmiccrystal.itch.io/tiny-rally-turbo-tour
This game starts out a bit confusing to handle; the handbrake/drift key helps you turn, but when you release it you seem to turn back to where you were. In practice, drive as fast as you can, and use the drift key to help you round tight turns.
It's quite a hard little arcade racer, until you memorise the tracks, and unlock the better handling/speedier cars!
There are some catchy dance music tracks, but I switched them off here, to focus on the, erm, interesting sound effects! Note: the "popping"/chiming in the first clip wasn't in my original capture, I just think the sound effects used on the purple car don't compress too well!
Graphics-wise, you can switch between a true pixel art version (even harder to see where you're going) and this "high" res version, where the pixels move like 3D models.
Overall a nice little, low res, distraction!
