Tobey Maguire & Andrew Garfield Spider Man NO WAY HOME Explained + Why They Will LOOK DIFFERENT
So, the Spider Man No Way Home trailer premiered a few days ago, breaking records, and yet we got no view, no simple reference of Tobey Maguire or Andrew Garfiled Spiderman in the trailer. So, I’m going to explain why I think Tobey and Andrew are in the movie, how they will be different from themselves that we remember from their franchises, and it’s got everything to do with our villains and the jump from their universe to ours. Stay with me.
So, let’s talk about the fact that Tobey and Andrew are for sure in No Way Home. It’s got everything to do with the fact that Electro and Doc Ock, and Green Goblin are all confirmed to be in the film from the trailer. We know that Doc Ock and Green Goblin share the same cameo appearances in the same bridge scene. And what we know about the Doc Ock and Green Goblin we get in the movie is that it’s from the tobey spider verse, and it was confirmed from Alfred Molina recently that the Doc Ock in this film is the one who allegedly died in the climax of Spider Man 2 and same with goblin. How did they survive? I think it will be a similar explanation from that of Into The Spider Verse with how all the spideys were transported to Miles’ universe because Goblin stuck spiderman’s head into the collider; thus opening portals to all the spideys and launching them into the universe that attracted them in the first place. Similarly, we see Doctor Strange mess with space time, and Peter screwed up the spell by talking too much. So, maybe spider man's interference with the spell is similar to spider man's interference with the collider; making it so that not only villains from the spidey movies can transport to this universe, but the spider men from those respective universes from which all these old villains came, well they come too. So, that’s how I think tobey and andrew will find their ways into our universe.
Now, I know with Electro, he was blue, so if he got portaled out of that universe, why is his electricity yellow? Well, I believe that the transportation could’ve altered these villains. We know that Doc Ock turned good at the end of the second Spider Man film, so, the transportation to our universe could’ve prevented that from even happening. I fully expect Goblin to have a completely different and more of a modern look than from the original spider man film. The transportation differences, honestly it’s just a perfect and convenient excuse for recastings that Marvel wants to do to some of the villains who are rumoured for the film, like how Lizard and Sandman could be in it; so if they wanted to recast or change the look of a character or correct a character in some way, the transportation altering the character in some way is a good excuse to do so in the film.
Now, if the transportation from one universe to ours alters the villains, we have to talk about how it might alter Tobey and Andrew’s spideys. This means we could see the pair be equipped with new costumes, new web shooter capabilities, and it would even explain why Tobey is aged up a lot and it would save marvel lots of time deaging Tobey maguire down to early 2000s tobey. Essentially, our spider men will be different when they transport to this universe and the transportation is what causes it.
What do you think of my theory??
