What If Episode 4 Teases Where The X-MEN Will Join In Doctor Strange 2 In The Multiverse Of Madness!
6Marvel What If episode 4 has premiered and we need to talk about how it further confirms the introduction of X Men in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness and the Spider-Man No Way Home connection
So, let’s start with a little background information. The Doctor Strange sequel is supposed to introduce the X-Men or is at the very least rumored to. Attached to this rumor was No Way Home incorporating more of the side of the sony spidey verse like venom, Morbius, and such, but that’s beside the point. Multiverse Of Madness will incorporate X Men. It’s even highly rumored that Wanda will find herself fighting a mutant, but we’ll circle back to that.
For now, you need to know that, in this episode of What If, there is a scene where Doctor Strange is in Cagliostro’s library of Lost Books, and some of the books he sifts through he reads Transmutation, teleportation, and telekinesis - which are all powers associated with X-men. Such as Professor X using telekinesis, Alchemy who uses transmutation, and Nightcrawler who uses teleportation.
Now, do I think these guys will be in Doctor Strange? No. But, the Phoenix force in X-Men comics, when it inhibits a human host, such as Jean grey, it gives the user powers with not the least of which matter transmutation, cosmic teleportation, and Pyrokinesis with Cosmic kinesis. So, this episode of What If could be teasing Dark Phoenix to be one of the big bads of Doctor Strange 2. I mean, who else could even rival wanda now that she has Chaos magic and has piqued in her capabilities as the scarlet witch? The only other one should be Jean. I don’t think they will make the x men universe that exists canon to the MCU, so they would have to recast and introduce a whole new line of X-Men- starting with Jean who has already received the phoenix force.
And if we are dealing with the X Men at a point where Jean has already been a part of the x Men and developed her character to the point of receiving the phoenix force, then we should prepare ourselves for the fact that we could get the Xmen already united on a team; of whom I’d like to see the new wolverine, cyclops, storm, included in Deadpool’s universe with the already given negasonic teenage warhead, and colossus and Deadpool!
The episode itself even connects itself to No Way Home with the very small detail in the no way home trailer where Doctor Strange tells Peter that his problem is that he is living two different lives. We know in this episode of What If that part of the conflict was that Doctor Strange was split into two people, with two timelines being carried out in one universe. In any case, More than one timeline implicates the existence of a multiverse, so we got Doctor Strange 2 and multiverse implications all around in this episode of What If. I mean, with No Way Home dropping itself into the spider verse specifically, I can expect that Doctor Strange gives Spider-Man the means to fix his spider mess, while doctor strange cuts out halfway through the movie to go fix the rest of the multiverse.
