Ghosts, sorry to wake you at such an early hour, but we've just received news that a flight UA7928 from Tokyo Haneda to Los Angeles International disappeared. The plane's final transmission was an automated position report, sent using the onboard Aircraft Communications Addressing and Reporting System (ACARS) before disappearing from ATC radar altogether. This happened almost fifty minutes ago now and it's anyone's guess what happened to it.
What's interesting for us is that the last position report has it only 10 miles south west of Auroa, at 44,000 feet. As we speak, our surveillance footage shows a lot of activity in the region of Seal Island, as well as a high amount of heat coming from one of the Sam launchers at the Buzzard Sam Site. We're verifying this may not be a coincidence but so far, the direction of the Sam as well as the calculated trajectory the missile would have taken corresponds to a rough position of where the commercial plane may have been. If Sentinel did shoot down that plane, and if it was intentional, we need to know, and real quick before this goes public.
You'll need to assault and take out any facilities involved with the Buzzard Sam Site. The West Radar Station further north is where the SAM's radar is located, which means they'll have data regarding every object detected and possibly targeted in the sky for the last 24 hours. Once that's done, head to the Buzzard SAM Site and take out the automated missile launcher itself. In the meantime, our tech team escorted by Outcast soldiers will sweep the Radar Station for any vital intel.
Your final step will be the most challenging part. You'll need to infiltrate and sweep and clear the Anti-Aircraft Battery of enemies. We need to gather intel here as well, as this facility is central to all SAM launches in the south of the island, in case the Buzzard was not used. It will also provide us with further intel of names or affiliates who may have been involved in this catastrophe.
We'll keep you posted while you're executing your mission, but in the meantime watch your six and keep an eye out for any intel that might lead us to those responsible.
