Tomb Editor Tutorial - Adding Ladders & Monkey Swings
This is a small tutorial to show you how simple it is to add surfaces for climbing and monkey-swinging.
In the Tomb Raider Level Editor, the monkey-swing surface had to be added to the lowest room in the level. For instance, if your monkey-swing is on the ceiling of an area 4 rooms above a pool, then the surface would have to be added at the very bottom room or pool, whichever was the lowest. In the Tomb Editor software, this is not necessary, it's all done automatically. :)

Although Tomb Editor can be used to build levels, as a beginner you will need at least one .WAD file. This is a file that contains objects and other things that you'll need for your level. You can download the original TRLE where you'll find the WADs in the 'graphics\wads' folder , or download some from the link below. Download them and place them in a folder where you can easily access them:
