Quick note on pacifist info above:
Lara is not some guerilla or soldier or commando or whatever. She is Lady Lara Croft, living in a manor, very intelligent (likely several degrees), only going into the field with a set of pistols. This speaks to her character - she will not kill everything for the sake of it. Thus, if there's a way to get through a n area without taking damage from a hostile, I play to her character where I can, and will leave it alive. In this level, it's easy to bypass one wolf completely, so that is what Lara has done.
A lot of the colour and contrast adjustments I try to play up the realism of the scenes involved. Icy mountains in the middle of the day will be bright, brighter than the original FMV. Even the hotel we first see Lara in is pretty drab considering how bright it seems out the window. I just try to make it as much of a visual delight as I can, and set myself some challenges at the same time. Hope you enjoy it, but I'm not anticipating many viewers, being a game that's almost 30 years old now. Oof. Now I'm feeling my age...
