This scene holds a special place in my heart. It made me think a lot more about people’s intent in their actions towards me and how it may not always be what I initially perceived. Watching this man who witnessed his niece die in his brother’s arms refuse to allow his brother 20 years later to continue being afraid of love is so incredibly powerful. This scene was performed brilliantly by Troy Baker and Jeffrey Pierce. I have said this before and I’ll say it again. The Last of Us Part 1 and 2 changed my life and enabled me to love people better regardless of if they had the same opinions and thoughts as me.

Every step of the recording and compiling process for this video was an incredible labor of love. I enjoyed every second of it. I had to be specific and intentional about my objectives in the scene. Having worked on multiple projects that involved these characters in the past, finding and refining their objectives and psychological gestures made this performance particularly rewarding.

I say this time and time again and I’ll say it again. This project reminded me of why I love this so much and how blessed I am to be able to pursue a career in this field.
