The Common Courtesy Monologue by Uncle Jesse from Full House. Performed by Sam John

Growing up back home in India, my favorite TV show was Full House. It felt like an incredible full-circle moment when I was looking for comedic monologues to work on and this one came up.
It was a very distinct direction I had to take with the piece because I had to use my tools to match the medium and world of the show. In this case, a sitcom. I felt as though there needed to be elevated stakes and heightened objectives in the scene and after putting in the scene breakdown work, I was able to put together a piece that I am so proud of.
I can guarantee you that if you told 7-year old Sam John that he would one day be putting together projects like this and having the time of his life being trained in performing arts, he would question your sanity while thinking all along that that sounds incredibly badass!
What a privilege, blessing, and honor.
I hope you all enjoy this performance and please share it if you do 💛
