0This project was an absolute pleasure to work on and an exciting introduction to the world of scripted podcasts. I was cast as Jim and a few other characters whose episodes I will post soon. I worked on this project with Troupe of Soup and had the most amazing time at the recording sessions, working with the insanely talented cast and crew. I found out rather quickly that each character required a completely different approach and understanding than the other, making the work all the more challenging and exciting.
I utilized a lot of the techniques and tricks that I had learned in Professor Jennefer Morris’ class, and each of them helped me create a fully realized character with objectives, tactics, and motivations. I found so much room for exploration and character development through vocal choices. Jim was such an interesting character to play because I had to stray from the immediate urge to pigeonhole him and find ways to justify his behavior to himself and those around him.
Working on these projects with the Troupe of Soup team was an incredible blessing and helped me develop a skill tree that I hadn’t yet discovered. The final product is something I am so very proud of, and I can’t wait to share more episodes with you all.
