I'm often posed the question; do I like this system, or that system? Well, here are my top 10 consoles in order of preference. I'm sticking to full fledged home systems for this, so no portable platforms. I've also added my favorite game for each selection.

Episode Notes:

1. Music Selections:
Opening monologue - Fujiyama Neo Turf Masters
3DO Segment - Road Rash Race Music
NES Segment - Batman Stage 1
Neo Segment - Mark of the Wolves Rock Howard
GC Segment - Super Monkey Ball Arctic
PS2 Segment - VF4 Concentration
TG-16 Segment - Splatterhouse Hell Chaos
Xbox Segment - Shenmue II Aberdeen
SNES Segment - Super Castlevania IV Ending Theme
PS1 Segment - Loaded Prison Breakout
N64 Segment - Pilotwings 64 Hang Glider
Ending Monologue - Batman PCE Stage 4

2. Capture devices-
3DO S-Video via Framemeister
NES Classic via HDMI
Neo Geo via MAME
Gamecube S-Video via Framemeister
PS2 Compononet via Framemeister
Turbografx 16 via Magic Engine
Xbox Component via Framemeister + Xbox 360 Backwards Compatibility via HDMI
SNES Classic via HDMI
PS1 RGB Scart via Framemeister
Nintendo 64 S-Video via Framemeister

3. My OG Xbox actually died during this episode. It stopped reading discs after about half the games. It sucked because I've had that thing for nearly 20 years.

4. I wanted to do a portable episode separately so I could give them their due.

5. I stopped at the DC/PS2/GC/Xbox generation to keep things more retro focused and to stay with Sega's direct competition. Had I went further, the Xbox 360 would have made it high on this list.

6. It took 2 weeks of writing, capturing, editing and dealing with a failed Xbox to complete this episode. It was grueling.
