The 3DO Experience
The 3DO was among one of the first 5th generation consoles to hit the market, and despite a number of really good games, is rarely fondly remembered outside of the small circle of early adopters who supported it during its life.

Episode Notes:
1. Captured via S-Video on a Framemeister.
2. The 3DO had native Composite, S-Video, and RF connections.
3. There are both MPEG and Memory expansion modules for the 3DO.
4. There was only 1 controller port on the 3DO. The second controller port was built into the controller.
5. My trusty Hammer O Doom has claimed many games and systems during mad rages in my youth. I had anger issues. It's been retired for many years, though I do still own it.
6. There are multiple models of the 3DO. Sanyo, Goldstar, Panasonic and a few others all made a few different versions.
7. The 3DO was pretty much region and copy protection free. There are a few Japanese games that have issues, and I hear that some NTSC titles have trouble on PAL systems.
8. There was an actual PC graphics card released by Creative Labs called the 3DO Blaster that allowed 3DO games on the PC.
9. There was a successor planned for the 3DO called the M2, which was supposed to be capable of vastly superior graphics to the Playstation and Saturn. Panasonic pulled the plug on the project and never released it commercially as a games machine.
