Top 5 Board Games That Could Be Legacy
Legacy games have been pouring out to us like... something that pours really fast. I'm not good at metaphors. Conceptually, it's great to see a single game that can evolve over multiple plays, with an ever-changing landscape. As always, there's good and bad, though. So I thought, what could work?
Many currently existing games have become huge (or even bigger) due to the releases of legacy games in recent years. Typically following a narrative story path, causing permanent changes to the board/players/etc., it's a wonderful concept when done well. That said, there's good and there's bad examples of Legacy games, and I wanted to talk about some that I thought could really work well as a legacy style at some point. Not even necessarily story driven, but more about character advancement and capabilities even. Either way, enjoy my thoughts on my personal faves!
As always, let me know what YOU think. Do you agree that the ones I picked could work as Legacies? Why or why not? What would be your personal picks, or would you rather see the genre slow down or die out altogether? Let me know in the comments!
