Product Review - Blinks by Move38
6It feels like it's been forever, but it's time for a fascinating product review! Move38 was kind enough to send me a set of Blinks - a unique, Arduino-powered set of pieces which teach and learn from one another, have dozens of games available, and even enable you to make your own!
As a scientist, gamer, and generally unsure fan of combining board games with technology, Blinks, in my opinion, are incredibly fun. There's a massive amount of replayability built in already with multiple games and "expansion packs", some of them highly complex strategically, and there's no specific design requirements for the "board" for most games, so everything is different.
One of my favorite aspects of Blinks is the fact that YOU, yes, YOU, can make and program your own games into blanks. The SDK (software development kit) allows you to load your own Arduino (similar to C++) code onto a blank to make your own game Blink(s). Teach programming to yourself, family, friends, or whoever else!
