A quick look at an external numeric keypad (ten key) with a DE9 plug from Toshiba. No idea what I'll do with it. I suspect it was for use with Toshiba's DynaBook range of portables in the early 90s.

It uses a Fujitsu MBL80C49N microcontroller, a copy of the Intel 8049 in the MCS-48 range, that has 2KB of ROM and 128 bytes of RAM.

It looks like it has four configurable (?) macro keys, a "000" key (for use with Yen currency amounts?), and いいえ (no) and はい (yes) buttons.

Idea is to use an Arduino as a middleman to use on a non-DynaBook machine (or on an Arduino project).
