Continuing from having a look at the HP-86B in my last video, this is my HP-85B with built-in 5" screen, printer & tape cartridge drive.

Note: yes, I figured out the trick on how to remove the top case ... I should've removed the tape cartridge eject button first ... duh! I gave the top-case a good scrub and also washed all the key caps before re-assembling for the video's thumbnail.

Whereas the HP-86B has 128KB of RAM, this HP-85B only has 64KB or RAM split equally between user 32KB RAM and a 32KB RAM disk. The HP-85B doesn't have a built-in HP-IB interface like the HP-86B does.

One well-known issue with these machines is the tape drive requiring servicing - something I'll need to look into before putting a tape anywhere near the machine ... although mine "looks" okay ...

The printer seems to work pretty well considering its age and lack of service. The screen, too, is also working pretty well, although I can see examples of burn-in after removing the plastic screen protector.

I re-configured my EBTKS card to work on the HP-85B and had no issues. Finally figured out how to load software, for example from disk D301:

CAT ":D301" ... file catalogue
LOAD "PROGRAM.D301"
