Total Carnage was a semi sequel to the extremely popular Smash T.V. Like Smash T.V. this was a two player co-op game with the players using two joysticks each. One was for movement and the other was for directional shooting. The game was a parody on the Gulf War in 1991. The bad guy in Total Carnage was supposed to be Saddam Hussein. During certain cut scenes you will hear him say things from Smash T.V. and sayings like "All we are making is baby milk!" In Total Carnage players were no longer confined to one room at a time and would travel through multiple landscape styles. Every art asset in this game was hand drawn pixel by pixel.

Midway Arcade Treasures 2 is the second collection of classic arcade games published by Midway for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, and Xbox. This compilation includes 20 games that were not in the 2003 release of Midway Arcade Treasures or the 2005 release of Midway Arcade Treasures 3.

The game plays similar on all three consoles; however, the Xbox version has the exclusive ability to upload scores to an online scoreboard. The special features on each version of the game are the same. These include game histories, developer interviews, and other documents.
