First person horror survival game. With Apogee publishing you might be thinking it is a boomer shooter, but it is not. Also, in this game you cannot use shadows for hiding like in the Amnesia game series. So, this demo is basically light survival mechanics with melee combat. The melee combat is quite nice and works well. You can stagger enemies in multiple ways and can also parry. You get a range of weapons and can use different types of strikes. You can even perform a kind of projectile and melee combo which works well. The full game will have guns, unfortunately I didn't find one in the demo, maybe there is and I just didn't go down that path? Overall I had fun, the maze chase sequences were frustrating, but the game is generous with it's save functionality which is helpful.
