Touhou 6: Embodiment of Scarlet Devil - Reimu B Lunatic 1cc
4After weeks upon weeks of attempts that were all over the place in terms of success (strongly dependent on how many times I died in stupid and preventable ways), I finally did it.
Not counting HSiFS, this is my first legit Lunatic 1cc of any Windows Touhou game, and even then, it was a much harder-fought battle than HSiFS because a) you don't get a broken mechanic that lets you cheese half the game, and b) this game is VERY stingy with its extra lives compared to later Touhou games.
Honestly, the lack of a visible hitbox is the least of my concerns. Play the game long enough and you'll learn to approximate it (not to mention I've got plenty of experience with the PC-98 Touhou games). What I hate the most is the wonky bullet hitboxes, especially on the knives and bubbles, both of which are absurdly common from Patchouli onwards. There's also certain attacks that can just go eat a dick, such as Meiling's third boss nonspell, Patchouli's spellcards "Bury in Lake" and "Emerald Megalith", Sakuya's boss opener and last two spellcards, and MOTHERFUCKING REMILIA FUCKING SCARLET'S "YOUNG (FUCKING) DEMON LORD" FUCK THAT SPELL SO HARD FUCK IT WITH A RED-HOT TEN-FOOT IRON POLE RIGHT IN ITS TINY LITTLE VIRGIN ASS AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA--
Also, in case you're wondering why the bullet sprites look different, those are actually bullets I made myself that I then edited the game files to put in, just to see how they'd look. I liked them enough to keep them.
