Touhou Emblem Chapter 3 - Attack on Scarlet Devil Mansion's Gatekeeper... and a secret character?!
EDIT: This version is outdated, there is a new version of Touhou Emblem.
Yes it's another Touhou x Fire Emblem video.
Starting from chapter 3, most of the chapters will get longer. And harder.
Meiling appears here but she won't be recruitted until a little bit later.
From the previous video, I was missing the detail that the first chapter's boss isn't recruitable... though the true reason why is spoilers.
By the way, I forgot to mention exactly, but if you want a TL;DR of who these fantasy maidens are.
Reimu: Shrine Maiden MC who is always poor yet gets lucky on the way to solve incidents. First appears in Highly Responsive to Prayers
Marisa: Just a magic-using human, and (friendly) rival to Reimu. First appears in Story of Easter Wonderland, first time playable is in Phantasmagoria of Dim.Dream
Ran: Kitsune shikigami who is both servant to Yukari and master to Chen at the same time. Appears in Perfect Cherry Blossom as Extra stage boss (& Phantasm stage Midboss)
Chen: Bakeneko shikigami owned by Ran. Also, we usually don't call her with the "Yakumo" surname. Appears in Perfect Cherry Blossom as Stage 2 Boss (and Extra Stage Midboss)
Rumia: "Generic" Youkai of darkness, surrounds in dark sphere that sometimes make her crash into trees. Appears in Embodiment of Scarlet Devil as Stage 1 Boss.
Daiyousei: She actually have no name but the fandom did and she's associated with Cirno. Appears in EoSD as Stage 2 Midboss
Cirno: 9-BALL. The "Baka" (idiot). Ice Fairy that got popular because of memes, saying things like "I'm the strongest!" - appears in EoSD as Stage 2 Boss. (also makes Stage 1 Midboss appearances in two later games)
Suika: Shuten-Douji Oni that looks cute. She's actually powerful. In fact, she's actually the last boss of Immaterial and Missing Power, Touhou's first fighting game.
As I said earlier Suika is pretty overpowered here as a unit (probably) due to a passive that increases her STR and DEF by 4 when an enemy attacks her in enemy phase. Not to mention there are some early hand axes... In fact, she's might be better than the armored units later you might get (lol)
Make sure you visit the 2x2 forest square there in the bottom-right. It's a hidden way of recruiting a character you might otherwise easily miss.
Medicine Melancholy. The poisonous doll that everyone (including fandom) sometimes forgets. She's one of the characters from Phantasmagoria of Flower View. In this game, she's a Spear Fighter (this FE romhack's equivalent of Soldier class, and yes they're playable!). Well, there is another Spear Fighter later you can get, but compared to the later Spear Fighter, Medicine's more off an all-rounder with need for growth potential... Thank goodness she actually comes with a good "effectiveness" weapon that might come in handy.
BTW, for those who want to know what skills characters have:
Reimu: Fiery blood (you don't like it when Reimu's angry!), Shove
Marisa: Shove, Locktouch (heh!), Steal (she is thief!)
Ran: Live to Serve (heal herself too when she heals someone), Canto
Chen: Duelist's Blow (player phase avoid +30), Shove
Suika: Sturdy Stance (OP +4 ATK and DEF on enemy phase!!), Shove
Cirno: Glacies (because she's an ice person, skill% to add Res to attack), Shove
Daiyousei: Critical Force (just look at her crit% with Killer Bow), Shove
Medicine: Poison Strike (makes sense), and Shove
