Welp, why does almost every Touhou fangame have any involvement of any SDM residents at all?! Wait, that's right, the first Touhou game on Windows (previously the developer made the previous titles for PC-98), Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, will be an eternal classic for Danmaku fans.

So anyways, if you think getting to the owner of the mansion is a cakewalk, you're definitely not thinking twice. The mistress of the mansion has not one, but two reliable bodyguards: Patchouli Knowledge, the Great and Unmoving Library, and Sakuya Izayoi, The perfect and elegant Chief Maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion.

But this time, the Shrine Maiden and the Magician are joined by:
Kogasa Tatara, a wandering Karakasa-Obake (a type of Tsukumogami) who happens just to be here to look for a good location to surprise others. In game here she's a Pegasus Knight (and you probably know how squishy and vulnerable are Pegasus Knights to bows in Fire Emblem games), from the game Undefined Fantastic Object (the 12tth game in series). She has Reposition as her personal skill.
As well as the Three Fairies of Light (yes, they're from one of the Print Works though people just sometimes call it manga). Sunny Milk, an Outlaw (basically Thief class but with bows). Luna Chlid, an Axe Cavalier (she can only use Axes while unpromoted). And Star Sapphire, the second unpromoted playable Fencer in the game. They all have skills corresponding to their names. (Sunny Milk has Sol, Luna Child has, well, Luna. And Star Sapphire has Astra.)

Anyways, while the first three chapters were pretty easy to do without much thinking aside from checking enemy ranges, this time you'll need to be careful with several things. First, do NOT attack Patche - besides, the goal for this chapter is to defeat the other boss, Sakuya. You'll end up missing one recruitable character if you defeat Patche in this chapter (not to mention she appears again in the next chapter anyway). Second, note that her Flux and Shady Drugs can be actually stolen. Marisa can steal the Shady Drugs, but to steal the Flux tome you'll need Sunny Milk, one of the new characters joining in this chapter to steal it. In addition, Sunny also can steal Sakuya's Iron Bow which makes dealing with her easier. DO NOT engage a combat against Sakuya in melee, she has a Silver Sword and she can possibly double (follow-up adds another attack) most of your units at this point. If you do steal Sakuya's Iron Bow, she'll be easier to deal with. As always, throw Suika into the range of maybe one or two enemies to bait them in case they don't move unprovoked.

Beware of the reinforcements though. There are also Youkai Outlaws that will pilfer chests if you take too long, and SDM reinforcements as well.

Kind of weird how they put both Stage 4 and Stage 5 bosses into the same place... Oh, and they'll appear again next chapter.

BTW, there aren't skills by leveling up, though some do get skills when promote and these are all class-dependent.
