Touhou 東方泡台風～Karmical Prophecy of Krausenhaüer - All Scenes No-Runes
252New Impossible Spellcard-based fangame.
Scene-based fangames are pretty rare so this is neat to see.
You get various abilities in the form of runes, three of these can be equipped at any one time.
You unlock these through a gacha for which you get rolls by just playing the game (it's nothing bad).
Though of course like Impossible Spellcard you can also beat the game without using any.
What is wild here is that you get a unique shottype for each individual scene.
And they went uhh... pretty out there for some of them.
Though apparently that was the point, as this was for an Unorthodox Firepower contest.
They're mostly fine, but the shot in 3-4 is like the worst most unusable thing I've ever seen lol.
The game is a bit of a celebration of Touhou fangames in general.
Each original character you see here comes from a different past fangame, which gives it a bit of a medley all-stars feeling. Trying to see where each one comes from is a fun exercise, especially with the new artstyle.
I will say that the game is maybe a bit too easy and a bit too short for a scene-based game.
None of the individual scenes are really all that difficult, even with no items.
You're allowed to go balls-to-the-walls when the stakes are 2 minutes of progress at most.
