224The brand new fangame has arrived, this time being a scene game! Made by Ryan Thierry (a.k.a. Ryan1908) with help of many artists, they bring 30 scenes divided into 5 acts to beat, featuring a whole cast of characters - original ones and those from existing western and eastern fangames! Sounds nice, doesn't it? So, let's get into it!

東方泡台風 ～ Karmical Prophecy of Krausenhaüer is a fresh new fangame made by Ryan Thierry. This puzzle danmaku shmup was inspired by games such as 弾幕アマノジャク ～ Impossible Spell Card and トライフォーカサー ～ Outside the Traditional World.
It brings 30 scenes divided into 5 acts. And I would say "puzzle" is a good term for these scenes.
Either you have to figure out how to move around to beat the scene safely, or what is the trick to beat the scene efficiently, given the shottype.
Yes, the shottypes are also part of the scenes, because you will see a variety of them. And they won't be as conventional as you think.
This game takes part in Bullet Hell Artistry #9: Unorthodox Firepower contest. The goal was to bring the unconventional firepower for the players. For the contest, the script itself (game and its patterns) didn't hold that much of importance as the shots, as long as the shots could be nicely demonstrated in the game.
You get 6 players to play with, each with its own unconventional firepowers.
Each player appears in a given act. Unfortunately you can't choose the player freely, but that's not much of an issue.
As an additional mechanism, you can use 3 optional "runes" from a pool of 16 to enhance your experience.
These can be bought in game for the currency, gained by playing scenes.
The runs don't showcase the usage of them, but their descriptions are shown at the end of the video.
Overall, the game plays pretty nice. With the amount of spells available, it might take around an hour up to three to beat.
A really nice one, though a bit rough around the edges. Not all spellcards are equal in terms of difficulty, it's more of a mix of easier and harder ones. Keep that in mind when playing through ^^
Future patches are planned based on the feedback. Upcoming one (v1.01) will have adjustments to difficulty of some scenes and telegraphing of the patterns.
