So for the Extra stage they threw out the main mechanics of the game and replaced them with something completely different. So different in fact, that a tutorial is required.
Also there is full voice acting for every character now?????
By the way I hope you have basic Japanese listening comprehension if you want to beat this stage.

In this mode you can charge your meter by holding C and different levels produce different effects.
Level 1 = You shoot a heart bullet that explodes and cancels bullets in it's radius. It doesn't do damage.
Level 2 = You get a temporary barrier that cancels bullets. You are not invincible, you'll die if you hit stuff that you can't cancel. You can also do no damage to bosses during its duration.
Level 3 = You can insta-kill a boss phase by doing a level 3 three times.
You get no bombs in this stage.

The screen goes dark during the EX boss's first spell. Parsee will tell in which direction the bullets are coming from.
Ue = up
Shita = down
Migi = right
Hidari = left
You have to move in the according direction. You could do that. You could also just move diagonally since that dodges every possible scenario.

You have to use level 3's on the second spell. If you use shot the boss will go all Mushi TLB reflect shield on you. The game is kind though and will give you a shield automatically on the first bullet burst.

For the anchor spell you want to misdirect the aimed anchors to the bottom and right wall or else it becomes impossible. The shield will not protect you from the anchors themselves.

The first survival is basically Simon. There are a bunch of seals that will shoot impossible patterns if you don't cancel them with level 1's. Parsee will tell you the order of the seals.

Kaze = wind
Koori = ice
Mizu = water
Kaminari = thunder
Hikari = light
Yami = dark
I'm bad at Simon. Especially in a language I'm not proficient at. Ice and light look way too similar in color too.

For the Unzan spell you want to activate the shield really early so that you can actually damage the boss. The shield will not protect you from the fists. The game automatically gives you the first shield here as well.

The lasers in the final spell are static, the yellow stars are not. This spell is basically about sitting in safespots while praying that not too many yellow stars come your way.

It's definitely one of the most original Extra stages I've seen at least.
The overall quality seems much higher than the main game too, which is really weird. No-missing this stage seems doable all things considered, which I really can't say for the main game.
