Alas, the final video that I salvaged from the old HDD.

Touhou 12...perhaps the only touhou game that ever got me this infuriated mainly because of the UFO token system.

Backstory is that kanako and swack gave our nuclear birb the power of nuclear fusion. Once that happened she started making random geyser's erupt which eventually shot out certain youkai who you'll be facing here in UFO. Their goal is to bring back Byakuren but Nue made it more difficult for them.

Fast forward to UFO and raymo and marisa see the flying vessel captained by Captain Murasa. Believing it has treasure our two main heroines and the new character, sanaenae head out to investigate.

What's the new mechanic UFO has? The UFO tokens which make resources easily available, keep it short if you collect 3 pieces of the same colored UFOs you get a specific UFO (or 1 of each) you'll make a UFO spawn.

Red UFOs drop life pieces, Green drops bombs and blue is purely for score. If you happen to have collected 1 color of each then you get another UFO. BUT if you let the UFO fill up it's meter by letting it absorb power and point items then you'll get double the prize along with another UFO. Another perk to it is that it clears bullets and enemies but you better be quick about it because it has a timer. If it runs out it'll leave which hurts a lot once you finally get past Captain Murasa.

Sounds nice right? Accessible life pieces and bomb pieces....except the fact that they move a lot and they get harder to obtain once you're finally past Ichirin and Unzan. My advice is start switch between collecting life pieces and bombs that way you'll be at least stocked once you reach Captain Murasa and the dreaded Shou and her lasers.

Really though, the road block here is Shou because those lasers just pass by so quickly, I got lucky by Byakuren but good lord if you there's no invincibility frames once you beat her. If you so much as slip like in SA when she explodes then that doesn't count which is BS.

Overall though, UFO may be unfair for the most part but you have access to resources. Sanae is also the best character to use here, makes it better because it's her debut as a playable character and she just so happens to be the best shot type.

Anyways, I love Murasa.
