The town of Banbridge in Northern Ireland has added the name of Lance Corporal Stephen McKee of Royal Irish Regiment to the town's war memorial.

It is the first addition to the stone since 1945. LCpl McKee was killed on 9th March 2011 when the vehicle he was travelling in hit a roadside bomb in the Nad Ali district of Helmand Province. He is buried in Banbridge next to his baby daughter who died in 2010.

His family watched as the plaque on the memorial was unveiled. His three brothers who are all serving members of the Royal Irish Regiment laid the first wreath.
