The South Western Mainline route is a brand-new product from Dovetail Games. Quite obviously, it's another Train Simulator add-on. This route features the St. Deny's to Bournemouth section of the London Waterloo to Weymouth line. As a bonus, it also includes the branchline from Brockenhurst to Lymington Pier.

In this video, we are going to be driving a Class 450 Desiro along the Lymington branch. This was my 2nd run on this route, but th first time driving on the Lymington branch. The 1st run was in one of the scenarios that comes with the route - going from Southampton Central to Brockenhurst.

The scenario is one that I made, and it's called 1J27 12:42 Brockenhurst to Lymington Pier. It is available on Steam Workshop for those that want to try it out.

I have previously covered a journey on the Lymington Branch, but that run was on the steam-era version of the line, which is part of Steam Sounds Supreme's 'Southampton to Weymouth' route. On that run, I used an engine that was completely inauthentic for the Southern Region - an LMS 7F class 0-8-0.
