On a cloudy Sunday afternoon, we see the 5th-oldest member of the DL class crossing the Turntable Hill Road bridge in Apata. The locomotive was heading to Tauranga with Train MP5 - and Auckland to Tauranga container train.

9043 was 1 of the first 6 DL class locomotives to be built. This first batch of 6 arrived in New Zealand - more specifically, Mount Maunganui - in November 2010.
