Today we will be having a go at driving the E4 class 0-6-2 tank. Based on my memory, I think this was the 2nd time I drove this locomotive.

We will be driving on a small part of the 'Southampton to Weymouth' route, specifically the 5.6 mile long branchline from Brockenhurst to Lymington Pier. Our run starts at Brockenhurst itself, and our E4 is painted in British Railways lined black, and is also the version that was fitted with an S.E.C.R. style smokebox door. The coaches are three Mk1 suburbans, which I felt would look somewhat prototypical behind the E4.

On the way to Lymington Pier, we will be stopping at Lymington Town. Upon arrival at the terminus, we will run the E4 around the train while passengers transfer to the ferry that will take them to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. After running around the train, we will take the E4 back to Brockenhurst, where the video will end.
