Transformers: The Ride 3D (or simply Transformers: The Ride) is a 3D dark ride located at Universal Studios Singapore, Universal Studios Hollywood, Universal Studios Florida, and Universal Studios Beijing. Based on the Transformers film franchise, the ride was designed by Universal Creative, Oceaneering International, and Industrial Light & Magic. Each installation is reported to have cost US$100 million. Universal Studios Singapore was the first to open the ride.

The dark ride consists of motion platform-mounted vehicles that follow a 2,000-foot-long (610 m) track. Throughout the ride, screens up to 60 feet (18 m) high project 3D images of various Transformers characters as the Autobots attempt to protect the AllSpark from the Decepticons.

Transformers: The Ride-3D is an immersive, next-generation thrill ride blurring the line between fiction and reality. Fusing HD 3D media and flight simulation technology, this epic ride creates an experience unlike anything this planet has ever seen.

Based on the popular movie franchise, this mind-blowing Transformers adventure puts you in the middle of the ultimate war zone.

ILM originated in Van Nuys, California, then moved to San Rafael in 1978. Since 2005 it has been based at the Letterman Digital Arts Center in the Presidio of San Francisco. In 2012, The Walt Disney Company acquired ILM as part of its purchase of Lucasfilm.
