Trials of Mana had a fairly troubled history with it's development, not making it overseas due to technical issues with the Super Famicom/SNES. After all these years, the game was fully remade from the ground up, turning into a completely different experience. In this review/retrospective I explore how Square Enix managed to translate their 1995 JRPG classic into the language of 2020 gaming.
