The Paper Mario series has changed a lot over the last few years. From the release of Super Paper Mario, the series has changed radically, never returning to the original gameplay style. Today we look into the history of the Mario series and look for patterns that may indicate what happened to the series, and made Sticker Star, Color Splash, and The Origami King the way it was.
