The ICNG Coradia Stream built by Alstom is the newest train of the Dutch national railway company NS. It stands for InterCity Nieuwe Generatie or in English InterCity New Generation. It is a very luxury train packed with features and . The train is designed for operation on the hispeed line and on long distance services with a top speed of 200 km/h.

In this trip report we are going to have an extensive look at the inside of the train. How is the level of comfort and does it meet the expectations of a passenger in 2023? Ofcourse on a short hop between Amsterdam to Rotterdam via the HSL Zuid, you won't need all that luxury, but this train is planned for long distance routes and therefore we will review it with that in mind.

Currently in 2023 the ICNG is only operating between Amsterdam and Rotterdam/Breda on the InterCity Direct service and from The Hague to Eindhoven on the InterCity service. In the future the trains will run as far as Leeuwarden, Groningen and even to Brussels in Belgium. This will gradually happen in the coming years as more ICNG trains will be delivered replacing the older ICRm coaches and ICMm multiple units.
