[RETROSPECTIVE TRIP REPORT] KLM Cityhopper From Amsterdam (AMS) To Dresden (DRS) During The Pandemic
Travelling during the COVID-19 Pandemic was something very unique and hardly imaginable now. Some things were the same as usual, but there were also many things that weren't normal. Walking around deserted airports and flying with just a couple of other passengers was quite common if you took a flight between 2020 and 2021.
In this retrospective trip report we look back at how travelling was during the Summer of 2020 when taking a shorthaul flight with KLM Cityhopper from Amsterdam to Dresden. The first wave was over and people were allowed to travel again for fun, but only within Europe. There were a lot more restrictions if you wanted to go outside the continent.
Wearing face masks, doing COVID tests and registrating your whereabouts wasn't enough, because in the worst case you could end up with mandatory quarantine. It feels surreal to have lived through a time like that and everyone must be glad it's now well behind us as international travel is thriving as never before!
