Truxton - Brave Man + Far Away (Famicom Disk System 2A03+2C33 Cover)
You can hear those alien ladies scream!
Thanks to Shmup Junkie (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCb6Y45xtdYojo2-x9LHI8mQ), I've been playing some excellent Toaplan shooting games lately. Hellfire in particular has touched my heart with its unique fun gameplay and its fantastic music (especially Captain Lancer ^w^). I originally wanted to do a Famicom Disk System cover of Captain Lancer, but I decided to first cover the intro theme and Stage 1 theme of Toaplan's very first space shooting game, Tatsujin (known internationally as Truxton ;3). And you know what? It turned out FANTASTIC! Combining the PC Engine version's expanded percussion with the original arcade version's notes and taking some inspiration from Soyo Oka's style of FDS jams (plus careful tinkering with the pitch of each sound channel) has proven successful in an absolute banger job (at least to me). ^w^
As always, I hope you guys get a kick out of this one, and be sure to check out Tatsujin/Truxton and Hellfire, as they are wonderful games with great challenge.
UPDATE 06-28-2022: I've been meaning to do this for a year, but I've finally set up a system for sharing downloads for my chiptune project files! Here are the downloads for this song: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1-SEGS9DHMLmFDe2JWc5BUJEnjsvIBhlQ?usp=sharing
