I recently saw ProJared's video about the Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters, which led me to rewatching his reviews of Final Fantasy 1-5. I then figured I'd listen to the Final Fantasy soundtracks since I knew I wouldn't be playing any of those games any time soon (though I have played a bit of the first game a few years ago). Listening to the first game's soundtrack, the Castle Cornelia theme particularly captivated me despite it being quite a short loop, and I imagined what the game's soundtrack would be like on the Famicom Disk System. From there, I ended up making this little experiment, and I like the way it turned out despite it being a fairly simple expansion of the original Famicom version's song. In fact, I might do FDS covers of the whole soundtrack if I feel up to it. ^w^
