In order to unlock the Free Your Mind achievement, you must stay off the ground for 30 or more seconds. This sounds like a pain, but is actually VERY easy (and is the same method for an achievement in another Boomer Shooter I figured out named Deadlink).

Once in the game, load a level with a jump pad (I believe all of the levels have one). I chose Syn on the easiest difficulty to just get it done quickly. Once in the level, head to the jump pad and step on it to be shot into the air. While in the air, stay still so you don't move, and you will be shot back into the air over and over again. Since you aren't touching the ground, the time needed will keep ticking by.

After 30 seconds, the achievement will unlock! I would just ride it out until it pops so you don't have to keep retrying it (mine seemed to pop after about 37 seconds).
