Two-step verification, also known as two-factor authentication, adds an extra layer of security to your Uber Driver account by requiring both your password and a verification code during login. While this feature enhances account protection, it can sometimes feel inconvenient, especially when you're in a hurry and need to log in quickly. If you'd prefer to turn off this security feature, Uber allows you to manage these settings directly within the Uber Driver app or through their driver web portal.

To begin, open the Uber Driver app on your mobile device and sign in using your login credentials. Once you're on the main screen, tap the menu icon located in the top left corner. From the menu, select Account or Account Settings. Within the Account menu, tap on Security to access your account’s security preferences.

Inside the Security section, find the setting labeled Two-Step Verification. Tap on it to manage your verification settings. You may be prompted to re-enter your login credentials or confirm a current verification code to proceed. Once inside, look for an option to turn off or disable two-step verification. Confirm your selection, and follow any additional prompts to finalize the change.

If the option does not appear in your app, or if you’re unable to complete the steps, you can also visit the Uber Driver website by going to drivers.uber.com. After logging in, navigate to the Security section of your account settings where you may find the same two-step verification controls.

Disabling this feature will remove the added login step but also lowers your account’s protection. Use caution and only turn it off if you’re confident your account is otherwise secure. If you still want additional security but prefer not to use SMS, you might consider switching to an authentication app instead.
