UBOAT 01: I am new and I really need more training!

I've actually owned UBOAT since its early access days, but never really tried it. Now that it's left early access, it's time to give it a try!
I actually haven't played a WW2 sub sim for a VERY long time. Last one I've played was Sid Meier's Silent Service (the original, not II). Yes, it's been that long. I actually never played the Silent Hunter series either. This would be an interesting experience as I tend to play more "modern" sub sims.
I'll take it easy on myself and go with the "entertaining" setting instead of hardcore.
This is basically me fumbling through the first three training missions...

Let's start simple... The simplest U-boat, Type IIA, only 3 forward tubes and a couple reloads. Just a HMG on the deck...
03:35 Training 1: Resupply
I have to "buy" reload torpedoes, steel helmets, dynamite (for scuttling ships), ammo, and more? Gee, that's... kinda complicated....
05:45 Training 2: Travel and Diving
Okay, I can move to different parts of the North Sea, give diving and surfacing orders, and have them followed. Hmmm...
15:25 Training 3: Torpedo Attack
We need to leave for the North Sea. Another U-boat spotted a coastal freighter traveling alone. We'll learn how to give orders to officers, use hydrophones, run a torpedo attack, board a neutral ship for inspection, and so on... The first ship was definitely British, and thus, a valid target...
28:19 Second ship sighted
This one is flying a Swedish flag, which was neutral. As per the laws of war, we will board it and inspect it. If it is trading with a belligerent nation, it will be sunk...
